Harvard University, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is one of the most prestigious institutions in the world and has several research projects. One of them is related to the search for evidence that we are not alone in the universe.

Thus, a Harvard professor intends to take high-resolution photos of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) to prove his theory. But do you know the details of this project? So follow this article and check it out!

Harvard professor intends to take photos of UFOs

The professor responsible for this research is Avi Loeb, known for believing in alien life and that it is very close. For him, the interstellar item called “oumuamua”, which caused confusion among scientists, would be a probe sent by aliens to place sensors on Earth.

So the theory is that our planet is part of a testbed for a more advanced civilization and was created in a laboratory. Therefore, its new project, named Galileo, seeks to prove the existence of life beyond Earth.

More than 100 researchers are involved in the proposal, which consists of building a system of telescopes to observe the sky 24 hours a day. The complex is made up of audio, radio and magnetometer sensors, which identify non-visible items, such as UFOs.

An artificial intelligence system also needed to be installed in the complex, in order to avoid interruptions by “normal” agents, such as birds, planes, drones or meteors. Thus, it will be possible to pay more attention to unusual and peculiar objects.

The project will also use information from Planet Labs, which has a set of minisatellites responsible for photographing the Earth once a day. Avi Loeb is excited about the research as the group is going down a path that has never been done before.

While the search for UFOs has gained more credence, it is still undervalued by some academics and astrophysicists, alienating newer scientists from the field. However, the professor believes that the next generation will be able to discuss this subject in a more natural way, especially if he gets the evidence in high resolution.
