The public education network in Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with five countries, will increase the amount of Intercultural Schools in the state. There are already 20 units of this school model, where foreign language classes are taught, such as German, Spanish, French, English, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Turkish and Russian.
With the completion of works on these 7 new schools, the number of vacancies for these locations goes to 3,300 opportunities for students from the 6th year of elementary school to the 1st year of high school. Registration for these units is now open and closes on the day December 14th.

Requests to change schools can also be made if the student is interested in this type of education. Language learning takes place with both native teachers and Brazilian experts.

After accessing the enrollment website at the link above, the student needs to choose, at least,
3 units of your choice paying attention to the availability of schools, series, courses and shifts available. The registration process takes place exclusively online, if there is no internet access, it is possible renew your registration in person.Those approved in Intercultural Schools will not be decided based on the order of registration, the established criteria are as follows:
preference for people with disabilities;
preference for children and adolescents under 18 years of age;
permanence in the Public Education Network;
proximity to residence;
In case of a tie, priority will go to the youngest student.
Those responsible for the students must register, except in the case of students over 18 years of age.
