Correios is close to putting into practice its new franchised store model, which was recently announced by the company. Correios started a partnership program to create company franchises around Brazil, with the aim of increasing the number of service locations for the postage services offered. These new locations, known as Franchise Post Offices (LCF), will provide all the steps for production and repair of the objects before receipt by the Post Office for treatment, transport and delivery to the recipient.
Initially, the expectation is to open franchises in this format in seven states, namely: Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Goiás, Acre, São Paulo and Santa Catarina, in addition to the Federal District.
Those interested in acquiring a Correios franchise can present a proposal to open a store between the 12th and 13th of December. The next batch of receipts is expected to take place on May 5th.
How much does postage postage cost?
To become a Correios franchisee, it is necessary to go through a bidding process and meet all the requirements of each state. Regarding the value for this, the initial investment should be R$ 350,000.00.
Since the beginning, Correios has sought to establish this new business model in medium and large capacity markets. According to the classification released by the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), Correios now has 979 stores in operation. In the year 2021, around 15 units became inoperative.
