Faculdade XP is a new educational venture launched by XP Investimentos that offers undergraduate courses in the area of technology. With around 100 million reais invested, the first groups will start in August and 400 bachelor and technologist vacancies will be made available each semester.
Market opportunity in the tech sector
The chance is offered to those who want to specialize in the technology sector. According to Faculdade XP, created in June, the three courses offer an adequate dynamic to what the market demands. The courses follow the concept of “distance education” (EaD), opening opportunities for young people from all over the country.
400 vacancies will be made available for the Systems Analysis and Development, Data Science and Information Systems courses through a selection process. With this sum, 50% of the vacancies will be allocated to women and those who self-identify as black.
How does the selection process work?
The selection process for this opportunity has two important stages. At first, the candidate must respond to a motivational questionnaire and participate in a minicamp, which lasts two weeks, still in the first phase.
The minicamp allows the student to learn about the fundamental principles of software programming. This phase also offers the opportunity to learn about the teaching methodology offered by the institution.
Even if they fail, the student receives a minicamp completion certificate at the end, which can enrich their curriculum for future opportunities. This course consists of live and recorded lectures, as well as practical tests.
At the end of the process, the candidate will take a theoretical assessment administered by ENEM or an internal XP Educação general knowledge test. In addition, it is important to know that registrations go until January 12, 2023 and you must pay a fee of BRL 147 (CadÚnico subscribers are exempt).
