The opening of another edition of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools (OBMEP) was announced. Registration for the eighteenth edition began last Wednesday, 1. The scheduled closing date is March 17. Check out the main information and see if your school will also participate.

Enade 2023: Registration available until July 31st
Participants
They are students from private, federal, municipal and state schools, attending elementary school II (6th to 9th grade) and every year of high school, through the three levels presented by the competition:
- Level 1: 6th to 7th grade of elementary school;
- Level 2: 8th to 9th grade of elementary school;
- Level 3: all high school years.
Registration fee
For public schools, fees will not be charged.
Other institutions must pay according to the number of enrolled students, as long as the minimum is R$ 180. Entries will not be made individually, so the school will be responsible for registering students.
- 1 to 40 students per level: BRL 180;
- 41 to 80 students per level: BRL 340;
- 81 to 120 students per level: BRL 480;
- More than 120 students per level: R$ 4 for each student enrolled.
The organization requests that the institutions do not leave to register when the end date is close, as the required information must be passed in detail.

Evidences
The first test of the competition is scheduled to take place on May 30th and will have 20 objective questions. Only on the 2nd of August will the results be released for students who will pass the stage.
In the second phase, the exam will be discursive and will have six questions.
The necessary information will be released on August 31, with testing scheduled for October 7.
The final result of the winners will be announced on December 20th.
award
The performances will be evaluated and rewarded with medals of another, silver, bronze and honorable mention. Participating teachers will receive the awards along with the students. Check out the award details.
