Check out how to carry out your planting now:

After all, which is better, planting from seed or seedlings?

For those who have chosen to plant lychee from a seedling, know that this is the simplest way and shortens the entire process. However, for those who are going to plant lychee from seed, the easiest way to do this is to create a seedling and then repot afterwards.

First select the most beautiful and healthy pits, then remove all the pulp and let the seeds dry for a few days. Meanwhile, prepare a small pot with vegetable soil. The holes for the seeds should be a little bigger than they are and the ideal depth is two fingers, but remember to bury the seed with the tip that germinates the bud facing upwards. Then just cover it with a little soil.

It's important to keep your vase with the earth always wet, but be careful not to soak.

Where to replant your lychee

Your lychee should sprout in about 1 month after planting, and when it is 30 cm high, it can be replanted in its final location. When choosing where to replant, keep in mind that lychee is a plant that needs sunlight to develop and likes airy places.

When to plant your lychee

The best time for planting is the months with the most rain, which would be between January and March. Ideally, the climate should be dry and cold before flowering, which would be between June and July, and humid and hot during the other stages of the tree's growth.

preparing the soil

Replanting your seedling should be done in soil rich in organic matter. So you must prepare this land with organic compost and fertilizer. To begin your replanting, make a hole in the soil deep enough to accommodate the root of the plant. After that, remove the seedling from the small vase – being careful not to break the root – and place it in the target hole.

Important tip: If you want to plant several litchi trees, keep at least 5 meters of distance between each plant. After growing up, the shadow of one cannot be over the other.

Finalization

Finally, just cover the root of the seedling with soil and water it whenever you think the soil is too dry. Now all you have to do is wait for your little plant to develop and become a beautiful fruit tree.
