What is it
As previously mentioned, this is a benefit for workers, who guarantee assistance for those who have children up to 14 years old, or with some type of physical or mental disability. These professionals receive a monthly amount apart from their salary and the amount changes according to the number of dependents in the family.
Therefore, this benefit helps in the independence and dignity of these families, as it helps to maintain the education and upbringing of their children, in addition to improving their quality of life. To do so, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have under your guardianship children up to 14 years old or with a disability, be it mental, physical, intellectual or sensorial (in case of disability there is no age limit).
- Have a monthly income of up to R$ 1,655.98;
How it works?
To guarantee the benefit, the worker must go directly to the employer for the family salary to make his request and must be in line with the rules required by the Government. In addition, the amount is returned to the employer through the discount on the INSS tab every month. However, if the worker is receiving sick pay, disability retirement or retirement due to rural age, the salary is paid directly by the INSS.
Finally, if the employee's documents are presented in the correct way, the payment of the family salary will start from the month of request. Now, find out what documents the worker must present to be able to apply for the family salary:
